The Division of Sidewalk & Inspection Managements Citywide Concrete Unit supports the agencys goal to enhance, rehabilitate, and maintain the Citys infrastructure by acting as the agencys primary construction unit. Under direction of the Supervisor Bricklayer, the selected candidate will work as part of a crew performing the following tasks: laying brick and masonry on given structures; does fireproofing, block arching, terra cotta cutting and setting constructs brick masonry for sewers and manholes; lays cobblestone; sets granite curb; lays pavers; reads and follows plans and specifications; keeps jobs and other records; may supervise assigned personnel. Additionally, the candidate may be assigned additional duties in line with their title.
