PROGRAM ANALYST

- You will evaluate performance indicators to identify improvements to ship maintenance planning and execution.
- You will create forecasting models to analyze future program requirements.
- You will influence managers to accept findings from program analysis.
- You will brief managers on study findings or recommendations.
- You will consolidate analytic findings into a recommendation.
- You will analyze deficiencies to develop resolutions to problems.
Requirements
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NH -02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting program and management studies, analyze findings, derive significant conclusions, and recommend constructive solutions to particular problems or deficiencies; 2) Providing technical shipboard knowledge of engineering and combat system equipment, systems, maintenance, operation and processes and; 3) Applying an analytical ability with a comprehensive knowledge of management functions, technical processes, shipboard systems and principles, and of methods used to gather, analyze, and evaluate information concerning program management processes. This information must be supported in your resume to be considered for this position. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
