PROGRAM ANALYST

You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the NAVAL CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIVE SERVICE (NCIS). All Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) positions are in the excepted service. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. GS-11: $85,447 - $111,087 GS-12: $102,415 - $133,142 GS-13: $121,785 - $158,322


  • You will assist or lead team analytical studies and testing.
  • You will test and evaluate software and system capabilities.
  • You will ensure capability and oversee integration of applications to include off the shelf software.
  • You will review and evaluate applications and systems for compliance with DoD, DON and NCIS software engineering standards.
  • You will monitor, manage and coordinate projects as well as analyze and evaluate effectiveness of multiple project operations involved in meeting NCIS’ goals and objectives.
  • You will respond to Service Now tickets (relative to issues within or involving the CLEOC application).
  • You will assist in providing information and providing responses to internal and external personnel regarding CLEOC application.

Requirements

GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Providing guidance, instruction, and training to both internal and external personnel on the use and function of LE, CT and CI information sharing applications; briefing high-level managers and senor leaders on the status of projects, objectives, major changes to current technologies impacting projects and programs; and applying expansive knowledge of CLEOC, Vitals and NCIS Policy (Ch.25), familiarity with entering case data, case categories, ROI, IA processes, etc. GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Applying fundamental knowledge of CLEOC, Vitals and NCIS Policy (Ch.25), familiarity with entering case data, case categories, ROI, IA processes, etc.; collaborating with partners to provide guidance and instruction on the use and function of LE, CT and CI information sharing applications; providing necessary and required information to brief high-level managers and senor leaders on the status of projects, objectives, major changes to current technologies impacting projects and programs.
