SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the WORK CONTROL AND TEST ENGINEERING DIVISION (CODE 246) of the ENGINEERING AND PLANNING DEPARTMENT of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
- You will formulate an integrated test or work control schedule.
- You will plan a total Work Control or Test Program for ship assigned utilizing the Ship’s Availability Work Package and schedules.
- You will prepare detailed test procedures based on NAVSEA derived specifications.
- You will assist the Chief Test Engineer in planning for sea trials and act as the Assistant Shipyard Test Director during such trials.
- You will direct the work activities of a group of personnel which varies in number due to the length of the assigned ship’s availability.
- You will assign work based on difficulty and capabilities of employees and evaluate their work and performance
Requirements
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: executing and managing a work control and/or test program (e.g. formulating an integrated test or work control schedule, coordinating and directing all authorized testing through test directors, coordinating and processing WAFs and tagouts, working with project management, ship's force, and other shipyard codes to manage the work control or test programs, acting as a member of the Joint Test Group) for integrated ship systems.
